GATE 2026 Result on March 19: List of IITs starting MTech Registration this week, COAP start date
IIT Guwahati will declare GATE 2026 result on March 19. Candidates who had appeared for GATE on Feb 7, 8, 14, and 15 can access the result link at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. However, many IITs have started MTech registrations through GATE 2026, and few IITs will be starting soon. Check complete details below.
With IIT Guwahati GATE 2026 result date (March 19) around the corner, many IITs along with IISc Bangalore have started MTech application process for 2026-27 session. In addition, many IITs have announced the start date for GATE 2026 IIT MTech registration. Students can check the timeline below and prepare their documents and related information before the GATE result 2026 and scorecard release. To check result, candidates need to provide their enrollment ID and password at GOAPS 2026.

Candidates who want to apply in the above institutions must visit the respective official website and apply within the deadline. At the time of registration, aspirants have to provide their GATE details, and upload required documents (as per the guidelines). Interested applicants must keep their educational qualification, category, scanned photo, GATE 2026 scorecard, signature (scanned), and other related documents ready.

Indian Institute of Technology will release GATE cutoff 2026 soon. The IITG GATE 2026 result has been declared. The conducting body releases the exam result and cutoff for all 30 subjects. The cutoff for GATE 2026 will be available category-wise. Candidates securing the minimum cutoff will be eligible to participate in counselling.
Note: The minimum qualifying cutoff will be different for all subjects.
IIT Guwahati has released GATE cutoff 2026 mark for all 30 papers. This year, for many papers, the general cutoff is mainly 25-30 marks. Candidates can check GATE passing mark here.
IIT Guwahati declared GATE result for 2026 on March 19. Candidates can now login with their credentials to download result.
For admission to IITs through GATE, obtaining 700 - 800 marks is usually safe for general category. However, it varies for different papers. Candidates are advised to read instructions carefully and apply.
COAP 2026 Counselling Start Date
According to last year, the GATE 2026 COAP counselling is expected to start in the second or third week of May 2026. To participate, candidates need to register at COAP 2026 portal by entering their GATE exam details. The counselling will be conducted in 10 rounds depending on the seat availability. GATE scorecard will be made available for download from March 27 onwards and will be valid for three years.
