IIIT Hyderabad 22nd Convocation Ceremony 2023

The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) hosted its 22nd convocation on July 22, 2023. The convocation ceremony celebrated the graduation of 519 students, including 25 PhDs and 195 masters with a thesis. 195 graduates earned their degrees based on their thesis work.

During the convocation ceremony, the institute also awarded a gold medal to G Pratyanshu Pandey, who pursued BTech in CSE. A dual degree student in ECE, Kandala Savitha Viswanadh received recognition for the best all-rounder.

The graduating batch comprised 81 students in BTech, 72 in BTech honours, 102 in dual degrees, 68 in Master of Science in Research, 131 in MTech, and 40 in MSIT. Additionally, all 25 PhD students secured external competitive fellowships from esteemed organizations such as TCS, IHub Data, the government, IIT Palakkad, and others. Many of them also qualified for CSIR and UGC grants.

Commending the graduating students, Professor PJ Narayanan, Director, MTH said, "The graduating students of 2023 are joining the professional world formally today, out to chart their own paths in this increasingly competitive and complicated world. I am confident you possess highly useful skills in your area and immense creativity to apply those to different problems. Above all, I urge you to travel your life's journey with deep concern and caring toward the society around you. We expect the best from you in the coming years and are confident you will exceed our expectations".

Convocation speaker Kailash Satyarthi, social reformer and co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 congratulated the graduating students and wished them well for their future endeavours.
