IIT Bhubaneswar will be able to complete the end-semester of all the students except for first-year BTech students within the scheduled timeline.

IIT Bhubaneswar Exams 2022: The Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, has decided to conduct the final semester examinations of undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students between April 28 and May 10. In order to conduct the final exams, the engineering institution has taken all necessary steps to complete the courses in time. The institution commenced offline classes last year in September.

TOI report suggests that the institute will be able to complete the end-semester of all the students except for first-year BTech students within the scheduled timeline. The IIT commenced classes for these BTech and dual degree, MTech, MSc and PhD students on January 3. By March 3, the institutions completed their mid-semester examination. The last date for instruction classes for these students is April 26.

The delay in the academic calendar of the first-year BTech students took place as the last counseling of the first-year BTech students ended last year on November 19. These students were then admitted to IIT Bhubaneswar on November 25.

End-semester exams for 1st-year students from June 20

Meanwhile, the institution commenced second-semester classes of first-year BTech students on March 14. IIT Bhubaneswar students must note that the mid-semester examinations will commence from April 28 and continue until May 2. The last date for instruction classes of these students is June 17. End-semester examinations of the first-year students will begin on June 20 and continue until June 23.

While talking about the challenges faced by the institution during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation, IIT Bhubaneswar director R V Raja Kumar said that no compromise was made on education during the pandemic. The institution taught lessons on time despite the pandemic. The duration of a semester was retained.

Full examinations have been conducted and hands-on laboratory classes were also conducted by bringing the students to the campus in between the waves of COVID, he added.
