IIT Bhubaneswar to offer MTech in VLSI, EVs from July 2022
IIT Bhubaneswar Director Prof Raja Kumar said the institute already possesses certain facilities and going to supplement with advanced facilities in these areas for the laboratory practice of the students.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar is launching cutting-edge MTech courses in micro and nano electronics and VLSI design and electric vehicles from July 2022 onwards.
The micro and nano electronics and VLSI design course is the most advanced version of the courses available in this area in the country and abroad and it is designed to provide education in micro electronics, nano electronics, device modeling, process technology and training on VLSI design, including analog, digital and mixed signal.
The electrical vehicle technology course is a multidisciplinary course that includes training on electric drives, mobility and vehicle dynamics, energy storage and battery management and latest subjects related to new age vehicles.
IIT Bhubaneswar Director Prof Raja Kumar said both of these courses aim to develop the ecosystem in the country providing the much-needed human resources of high calibre, research, technology development, and create next generation entrepreneurs.
He said the institute already possesses certain facilities and going to supplement with advanced facilities in these areas for the laboratory practice of the students. Preliminary versions of the curricula have already been drawn and refinement of the same is now going on.
IIT Bhubaneswar's central research facility building nears completion
A new building for the central research facilities has been nearly complete now and it is going to help the institute in enhancing the research facilities such as fabrication facilities for semiconductor applications and the cleanrooms the actions for which are underway.
