IIT Bombay Placements 2024: Over 1100 Students Placed, 85 Grabs Rs 1 Crore Packages in Phase 1
This year's placement season at IIT Bombay marked a significant success. Among the 1,340 offers in the first phase, 85 come with salary packages exceeding Rs 1 crore, a substantial increase from last year's mere 25 offers in the same bracket. IIT Bombay Placements 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has concluded the first phase of 2023-24 placement season with 388 domestic and international offers. This count includes companies extending pre-placement offers (PPOs) alongside the participation of public sector units (PSUs). By December 20, 2023, IIT Bombay students received a total of 1,340 job offers, leading to the placement of 1,188 students.
Among these placements, seven students secured positions in public sector units (PSUs). Additionally, out of the 297 pre-placement offers (PPOs) acquired through internships, 258 students have chosen to accept these offers. They also received 63 international job offers with locations in Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Netherlands, Singapore and Hong Kong.
IIT Bombay Placement 2024 Salary and Sectors
In phase 1 IIT Bombay placement, 85 job offers with CTC Rs 1 crore per annum were accepted. The overall average salary of phase 1 placements was recorded at Rs 24.02 lakh per annum. The sectors witnessing the highest number of offers extended encompass Engineering & Technology, IT/Software, Finance/Banking/Fintech, Management Consulting, Data Science and Analytics, Research & Development, and Design.
