IIT Delhi launches Certificate Programme in FinTech

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has launched a Certificate Programme in FinTech. Interested candidates can apply latest by October 9, 2022.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has introduced the Certificate Programme in FinTech which is a five months course starting from December 11, 2022. The course is for students and working professionals. It will offer 80 hours course with 60 hours of live online learning and 2-day campus immersion at the IIT Delhi campus.

IIT Delhi Certificate Programme in FinTech: Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must be graduates (10+2+3)/Diploma holders from any recognised university in any discipline. Students in the final year of their graduation can also apply. A minimum of 45% (or equivalent) marks are required and selection will be based on application review.

FinTech, a portmanteau of ‘finance’ and ‘technology’, refers to the use of technology to enhance or automate financial services and processes. FinTech has a seemingly endless array of applications, considering its exponential growth from mobile banking and insurance to cryptocurrency and investment apps. 

India’s FinTech ecosystem is on a high trajectory. The FinTech industry today is demanding a unique combination of knowledge of finance as well as technology. There are finance professionals who need to upskill their knowledge to understand the technology side and there are technology experts, who have a need to upskill their understanding of financial markets, products and services.

IIT Delhi Certificate Programme in FinTech: More Details

For the certificate course, the fees must be submitted in three instalments of INR 45,000- the first instalment needs to be paid within 7 days of offer rollout, the second instalment by January 10, 2023, and the third by February 10, 2023.

The shortlisted candidates for the course will be informed by October 13, the last date to submit the first instalment is October 21, 2022, and the program will end in May 2023.
