IIT Delhi Placement: Season Begins with 480 Job Offers on Day 1; Offer from US, UK, Japan, Hong Kong

Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and Texas Instruments among top recruiters, IIT Delhi as a policy has decided not to mention high-value packages in their placement related releases.

Placement season at IIT Delhi for the academic year 2023-24 has commenced from December 1, 2023, which will span upto May 2024 for full time hiring of undergraduate and postgraduate students by the recruiting organizations.

Top recruiters on the campus on Day 1 in terms of the number of students offered include Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and Texas Instruments.

The placement season serves as a pivotal juncture where the brightest minds from IIT Delhi engage with the national and international organizations. This year, the hiring processes are being conducted in both physical and virtual modes depending on the recruiter's convenience.

Registrations for hiring students have been received from 360+ national and international organizations offering 660+ job profiles across multiple sectors as of now.

Around 480 full-time job offers (including pre-placement offers) with around 450 unique selections were bagged by the IIT Delhi students by the end of December 1. Many students have also bagged multiple job offers.

Speaking about the placement season, Prof. R. Ayothiraman, Professor Incharge, Office of Career Services, said, “The Office of Career Services at IIT Delhi is working to maximize placement of the students who avail our services. We have a healthy mix and line up of companies across sectors to cater to the varied needs and aspirations of our student body.”

Around 25 students have received international job offers from geographies spanning Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, United Kingdom, and United States.

Dr. Anishya O. Madan, Industrial Liaison Officer, Office of Career Services, IIT Delhi, said, “The talent pool is raring to contribute to the growth of organizations they join. We look forward to welcoming all recruiters who believe in the potential of our talent pool“.
