IIT Delhi to organise Nanotech Hackathon

Nanoscale Research Facility (NRF) at IIT Delhi is planning to organise Nanotech Hackathon. It is a nationwide contest for students and academic researchers who want to come up with a nanotechnology-based solution to the grand challenges in the area of Healthcare, Safety, Agriculture and Energy and Environment. This Hackathon is being organized under the INUP-i2i project, funded by MeitY.

The eligibility requirement is a minimum of 18 years of age as on June 1, 2023. No upper age limit. The applicant should be from academia (either faculty or students).

The guidelines say that the proposal submission can be done by a single participant or a group of 2-3 team members. It should have the merit of either a specific idea or innovation related to Healthcare, Agriculture, Safety, and Energy and Environment.

The winners will be provided free access to use the facilities of NRF and consumables to execute the project proposal. The submission deadline is June 25, 2023, and the results declaration will be on August 10, 2023.

Recently, on May 25, H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, UAE visited the IIT Delhi's Research and Innovation Park. He interacted with some startup founders who are trying to solve problems across sectors.

8- Nanosafe Solutions is an FITT-IIT Delhi incubated startup focusing on the development of functional materials imbibed with antimicrobial properties for improved health and hygiene.

H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri also delivered a talk titled "UAE: A Global Hub for Entrepreneurship and Innovation". The talk focused on emerging global trends such as geographical and economic fragmentation.
