IIT Delhi welcomes 40 high school prodigies; Convocation on Aug 12
As part of a dynamic Academic Outreach initiative in partnership with Shin Edupower, IIT Delhi welcomed 40 high school prodigies from Japan and India.
IIT Delhi welcomed 40 high school prodigies from Japan and India, all part of a dynamic Academic Outreach initiative in partnership with Shin Edupower. The highlight was a riveting robotics workshop led by Dr. Akash from IHFC (TIH of IIT Delhi) on July 26, 2023.
"The spotlight shone on TOTO, our charismatic autonomous mobile bot, showcasing interactive AI through person-following and voice tech β a true glimpse into tomorrow," tweeted IIT Delhi.
"Beyond robotics, vibrant interactions, icebreakers, and club intros showcased IIT Delhi's diverse tapestry. Cultures converged, and ideas ignited β fostering learning beyond borders," added the tweet.

The dignitaries include President Droupadi Murmu, Dr Gagandeep Kang, Chief Guest (Director of Enterics, Diagnnostics, Genomics and Epidemiology team in Global Health at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation), Dr Rajagopala Chidambaram, Chairperson Board of Governors IIT Delhi, Prof Rangan Banerjee, Director IIT Delhi.
The event will start at 8:55 hrs on August 12 with the arrival of Chairperson, Board of Governors. At around 9:23 hrs academic procession will proceed to the Dogra Hall. The procession will consist of the Chief Guest, the Chairperson BoG, the Director and the Senators. The Registrar will lead the procession. (The students and the guests will stand up when the procession enters the Dogra Hall and will remain standing till the procession culminates on the dais). The event will close at 11:46 hrs, as per the official statement of IIT Delhi.
