IIT Guwahati invites applications for BSc (Hons) in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence

Interested candidates must note that no applications will be accepted without the application fee. An application fee of INR 500 will be chargeable to all applicants. The last date to submit the application is on or before September 10, 2023.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has invited applications from admission to BSc (Hons.) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Candidates eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) in any year can get direct admission, according to the official announcement made by the Institute via its official Twitter account. Applications for October 2023 batch are now open. The last date to submit the application is on or before September 10, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for IIT Guwahati BSc (Hons.) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence  degree programme, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Applicant must have passed the Class 12 (senior secondary) examination or equivalent with a minimum score of 60% (overall / aggregate) from his/her country’s or province’s education board or a recognised University.
• Applicant must have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject at Class 12 (senior secondary) or equivalent level.

Applicants without JEE (Advanced) Eligibility

• Applicants are required to undertake an online qualifier test to qualify for the admission process. A preparatory online course - Mathematics Essentials has been specifically designed to help applicants prepare for this test.
• Applicants will be ranked using a composite score that will be based on their overall performance in Class 10 and Class 12 examinations, and the qualifier test.
• Applicants will be notified of their composite score within 7 days of taking the qualifier test.
• Offer of Admission will be released on October 1, 2023 via email.

Applicants with JEE (Advanced) Eligibility

• Applicants will be offered direct admission into the programme if they were eligible to appear in Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) in any year.
• In this case, applicants are not required to undertake the Mathematics Essentials online course, and the qualifier test.
• Applicants will receive an offer of admission immediately after review of their application.
• The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) is conducted by the Joint Admission Board (JAB).
