IIT Guwahati receives 919 offers in Phase 1 placements

The highest offer was recorded at INR 2.4 crore. Major recruiters were Google, Rubrik, Infurnia, Cohesity, Thoughtspot, Alphagrep, Goldman Sachs, Apple, Amazon, Rakuten, Square Point, etc. 

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati received 218 pre-placements offers (PPOs) in the 2022-23 academic year. The highest PPO has been recorded at INR 1.20 crore. The institute received 919 offers during Phase 1 with highest offer of INR 2.4 crore. 

The average CTC for BTech CSE students has been increasing every year from 28 to 41 LPA (lakh per annum). Typically, the highest package for students of BTech CSE is above INR 1.2 crore, and this year’s highest package is INR 2.4 crore, The Indian Express reported. 

The students of BTech CSE are recruited in diverse sectors starting from core CS, IT, banking to design and other non-technical. Most of the top recruiters across the world participated and hired students from IIT Guwahati. Major recruiters include Google, Rubrik, Infurnia, Cohesity, Thoughtspot, Alphagrep, Goldman Sachs, Apple, Amazon, Rakuten, Square Point, Accenture, IBM, Uber, Bajaj, Shimizu, Reliance, Axis, American Express, BNY Melon, Axis, ICICI, Bank of America, Microsoft, Cisco and Samsung. 

IIT Patna students received a total of 281 offers during Phase 1 of the placement season 2023. As many as 22 students of the institute received international offers. Seven students have bagged the highest domestic package this year at INR 82.05 lakh per annum, while the average package has been recorded at INR 29.30 lakh.  

IIT Delhi students received over 1,300 job offers in the 2022-23 placement season. Over 30 international offers were received by students from around 15 international organisations offering over 20 job profiles across geographies spanning Hong Kong, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. IIT Kharagpur received over 1,600 job offers and 900-plus internship opportunities. The institute recorded 48 offers in the CTC range of INR 50 lakh to INR 2.64 crore.
