IIT-H, EFLU sign MoU for knowledge exchange, capacity building in tech & allied areas

The MoU was signed and exchanged by EFLU Vice-Chancellor and UGC Member, Professor E Suresh Kumar and IIT-Hyderabad Director, Professor BS Murthy in the presence of Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan at an event held at IIT- Hyderabad campus.

The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Hyderabad have collaborated by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Under this agreement, EFLU will train IIT-Hyderabad students in various foreign languages such as Mandarin, English, and others.

EFLU to train IIT-H students in various languages

The MoU was signed and exchanged by EFLU Vice-Chancellor and UGC Member, Professor E Suresh Kumar and IIT-Hyderabad Director, Professor BS Murthy in the presence of Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan at an event held on Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad campus.

The agreement will help the EFLU disseminate and advance knowledge by providing teaching and training services in English and foreign languages in traditional or virtual classroom mode to the undergraduate, postgraduate, research students, staff and faculty of the IIT-Hyderabad.

IIT-H to provide knowledge support

Similarly, under this MoU, the technology institute, IIT-Hyderabad will provide knowledge-support services to EFLU such as teaching and capacity-building in technology and allied areas.

Talking about the collaboration, Professor Suresh Kumar said the integration of humanities with STEM subjects was the need of the hour and added that collaboration with the IIT-Hyderabad would go a long way in contributing in that direction.

Professor Murthy also talked about the training by EFLU to the students in Mandarin would help collaborate with Taiwan and develop a better chip manufacturing ecosystem in the country as per the vision of the Government of India.

The collaboration between EFLU and the IIT-Hyderabad aiming to contribute towards the goal of Atma Nirbhar Bharat received accolades from the Union Minister.
