IIT Indore Set to Establish Satellite Campus in Ujjain

IIT Indore: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that the central government has given the green light for the Ujjain satellite campus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore. He emphasized the significance of this project, highlighting its advantages for students, educators, and industrial workers. Union Education Minister Charmendra Pradhan has granted in-principle approval for this satellite campus, according to the CM. 

The approval of the Ujjain satellite campus for IIT Indore reflects the government's dedication to improving educational facilities. Chief Minister Yadav stressed the importance of this project, focusing on its capacity to benefit students, educators, and industrial personnel. 

As per ANI reports, in the meeting, the Chief Minister briefed Union Education Minister Pradhan about four new skill development courses offered by IIT Delhi in Madhya Pradesh. These courses encompass Augmented Reality-Virtual Reality (AR/VR) at Mahila Polytechnic College in Bhopal, Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) at Jabalpur Engineering College, and Blockchain technology at Ujjain Engineering College. 

Implemented under the Sankalp Yojana initiative of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship, these courses are designed to provide skillful training to 1000 young individuals in each field. These initiatives are instrumental in enhancing employability and fostering entrepreneurship among the youth.
