The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur ranked 2nd in India and 36th globally in the Data Science & Artificial Intelligence category in QS World University Rankings 2024 by subjects, affirming its leadership in these rapidly growing fields. The Computer Science Department, ranked 3rd in the country, is renowned for its cutting-edge research and high-quality products in the digital security domain, and is home to many of the nation's leading experts, educators, and consultants in computer science.

Bright Minds Scholarships by IIT Kanpur

After the announcement of the JEE Advanced 2024 result, IIT Kanpur continues to support talented students with the "Bright Minds Scholarships" for the fourth consecutive year. Funded by IITK alumnus Lokvir Kapoor, these 10 scholarships are available to the All-India Top 100 rank holders of JEE Advanced 2024 who enroll in BTech/BS programmes at IIT Kanpur. Each scholarship, worth INR 3 lakhs annually, covers tuition and living expenses for all four years.

The collaboration with Samsung R&D Institute, Noida, focuses on joint research projects in AI, directly involving students, faculty, and industry experts, while the upcoming Medical School will leverage AI to revolutionize healthcare delivery through telemedicine.
