IIT Kanpur's eMasters Marks 1,000th Enrollment; Introduces Courses on Cyber Security, AI and ML

IIT Kanpur eMasters degree programme, inaugurated in January 2022, has reached a milestone of 1,000 enrollments. Hence, the upcoming cohorts of the eMasters degree program will span across 10 specialised fields now. Know details here 

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) has reached a significant landmark with 1,000 enrollments in its pioneering eMasters degree program, launched in January 2022. Designed to accommodate working professionals by not requiring a GATE score and allowing candidates to continue their careers without interruption, these executive-friendly programs have gained considerable popularity, topping in this noteworthy achievement. Along with this, IIT Kanpur has also decided to start additional eMasters degree program in 10 specialised cutting-edge fields including Data Science and Business Analytics, Next Generation Wireless Technologies, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. 

Till now, more than 220 professionals have earned their eMasters degrees from IIT Kanpur, leveraging this achievement to advance their careers in cutting-edge fields. The program boasts a varied cohort, fostering a dynamic learning atmosphere that appeals to professionals from a broad spectrum of backgrounds. Mostly, participants hail from engineering and development sectors, increased by a substantial representation from managerial positions, as well as analysts and individuals in leadership roles. This diverse composition guarantees a comprehensive and multidimensional educational experience.

Furthermore, past participants exhibit diverse professional backgrounds. 30% come with less than 5 years of experience, 24% with 5-10 years, and a notable 46% boasting over 10 years of expertise. This diversity in both roles and experience levels enhances the collaborative nature of the IIT Kanpur eMasters degree.

IIT Kanpur eMasters Degree Format 

These industry-relevant programs are offered in a high-impact format with a judicious mix of weekend-only live interactive classes and self-paced learning modules. The 60-credit, 12-module industry-aligned curriculum is taught by world-class faculty and researchers from IIT Kanpur.
