IIT Kanpur witnesses 150% jump in international offers
The highest packages so far are USD 2,87,550 for international and INR 1.2 crore for domestic.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur received a total of 1,300 offers at the end of Phase I on placement season, of which 1,100 were accepted, including the 156 pre-placement offers (PPOs).
The Phase I of placement season 2021-22 that began at the institute on December 1 concluded on December 15.
The institute received 47 international offers at the end of Phase I. It sees a big jump of 150 per cent as compared to last year when total of 19 international offers were received. The highest packages so far are USD 2,87,550 for international and INR 1.2 crore for domestic. In total, 49 offers above INR 1 crore have been received, making it the highest the institute has received so far.
IIT Kanpur has pulled in top recruiters such as Axtria, EXL, Graviton, Goldman Sachs, ICICI Bank, Intel, Microsoft, OLA, Rubrik, Samsung, Quadeye, Uber, Tiger Analytics, among others, this season.

Over 80% students placed at IIT Kanpur
At the end of Phase I, more than 80 per cent students have been placed, of which, about 69 per cent are undergraduates, and about 31 per cent are postgraduates. The institute will kick start the second phase of the placement season in January.
