IIT Madras and Sevalaya are planning to devise a strategic plan to formalize two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at fostering advancements in education and healthcare. Their joint vision is to extend the reach of education to a broader spectrum of individuals by implementing straightforward yet impactful interventions. This collaborative effort intends to bridge gaps and make educational resources more accessible to a wider populace.

Additionally, the partnership aims to enhance healthcare initiatives, thereby contributing positively to the well-being of the community they serve. Speaking at the 35-year video release function in Chennai, IIT-M Director V Kamakoti said that, “Through Kalvi Shakthi the pass percentage in these centres have gone up to 98% from 50%.”

As per the Hindu, IIT-M has set up roughly 200 centers across India along with nine in Sri Lanka. Mr. Kamakoti also mentioned the need for another MoU, particularly in healthcare. This stems from IIT-M's ongoing project involving Artificial Intelligence for diagnosis and treatment planning. “Using this and Sevalaya’s mobile healthcare units we can take healthcare access to all the villages in India,” he said.
