IIT Roorkee and NIH Teams Up for Roorkee Water Conclave 2024, Focusing on Sustainable Water Use

IIT Roorkee: The Roorkee Water Conclave 2024 jointly organised by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and the National Institute of Hydrology Roorkee (NIH) has been inaugurated. This significant event draws esteemed experts, participants, and stakeholders from all over the world to Roorkee, a city celebrated for its water management achievements. Together, they will explore vital topics related to responsible water management and the circular economy, setting the stage for a sustainable future.

With the support of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India, the conclave embarks on a journey to foster a collective understanding of circular economy principles and resilience in the water sector. This endorsement from the ministry underscores the government's unwavering commitment to tackling critical challenges such as water scarcity, pollution, and sustainability.

Roorkee Water Conclave 

Held every two years in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, the Roorkee Water Conclave stands as a distinguished international conference, a collaborative effort between IIT Roorkee and NIH Roorkee. This notable gathering acts as a critical forum for worldwide discussions on the management of water resources, drawing a broad audience that includes researchers and policymakers alike.
