IIT Ropar Unveils SAMRIDHI Conclave
Punjab and Chandigarh's Governor, Shri Banwarilal Purohit, inaugurated SAMRIDHI (Strategic Acceleration for Market, Research, Innovation & Development: a Holistic Initiative for ICPS Startups), a Deeptech Startup Accelerator Programme.
It is hosted by iHub AwaDH under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS), SAMRIDHI focuses on catalyzing innovation in agriculture and water technology.
IIT Ropar director Rajeev Ahuja, Panjab University vice-chancellor Renu Vig, AwaDH director Pushpendra Pal Singh and Bhashini Digital India CEO Amitabh Nag were also present on the occasion.
At the SAMRIDHI conclave, five strategic partnerships were formalized alongside the presentation of five deep-tech innovations. Among the 13 startups meticulously selected through rigorous evaluation, ideas were presented, while an additional 25 showcased their solutions at the exhibition. Over 30 experts shared insights on strategic acceleration for market research, innovation, and development.
IIT Ropar's Technology and Innovation Hub AwaDH organised the conclave, backed by 46 investment partners, while a panel of over 50 jury members evaluated and mentored the startups. A network of more than 110 nationwide partners played an active role in propelling innovation and nurturing technological self-sufficiency.
Executed in collaboration with the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM – ICPS), the program underscores DST's dedication to advancing technology and innovation.
