IITH launches certificate course in introductory Sanskrit, anyone can apply
The course will start in October and classes will be held on the IIT Hyderabad campus, based on the convenience of participants.
The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad ( (IITH) in collaboration with Central Sanskrit University (CSU), New Delhi, has launched an introductory Sanskrit certificate programme called Prathama-diksha. The certificate course at IIT Hyderabad will focus on a graded learning method. It will offer students the flexibility to decide their pace and joining.
No eligibility criteria
The certificate course will be conducted in offline mode and is open to all students, faculty, staff, family of faculty/staff, and even people who are not a part of the university in any form. Interested candidates can fill their details in a Google form on the link — forms.gle/EZvquTY1VtdY7Rwh6.
There are no prerequisites for joining the course. It is not even compulsory for the candidates to know Devanagari reading or writing. The timings of this course will be decided at the convenience of the students. The fees for the course will be INR 1000, including the cost of study materials such as workbooks and textbooks. This certificate course programme will be a prerequisite for the dvitiya-diksha (Diploma course).
The course is scheduled to start this October and classes will be held on the IIT Hyderabad campus, based on the convenience of participants.
IIT Hyderabad PhD admissions
The institute has also invited applications for admission to PhD courses. The last day to apply is October 14, 2022. The PhD programmes offered in various disciplines and streams by different departments of the institute are based on written test and interviews.Interested candidates can apply online on the official website of IIT Hyderabad at iith.ac.in.
