JEE Main 2022 cutoff slightly raised for General Category, Lowered for all other Categories
JEE Main 2022 cutoff: Along with the JEE Main session 2 results, the cutoff for JEE Main 2022 has been released. The result of the JEE Main Session 2 has been declared in the early hours of August 8, 2022, and for session 1 was declared on July 11, 2022. JEE Main 2022 cutoff: The result for JEE Main 2022 for Session 2 has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in the early hours of August 8, 2022. Candidates can check the JEE Main 2022 result for the session at the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in by login in with their credentials, that is, application number and date of birth.
The JEE Main 2022 Session 2 results have been declared and the exam authorities have also released the qualifying JEE Main cutoff. It has been seen that the NTA scores released in percentile show that for candidates who belong to the general category, the cutoff for JEE (Advanced) 2022 is 88.4, which was 87.91 in 2021. In the same category, the qualifying marks were 90.3 and 89.7 in 2020 and 2019, respectively.
On the other hand, for reserved category candidates, the qualifying scores have dipped substantially over the years. For SC candidates, the cutoff in 2022 is 43.08, as against 46.8 in 2021, 50.1 in 2020, and 54.01 in 2019. This time, a total of 2.62 lakh candidates across all the categories qualified for the JEE (Advanced).
For ST students, this time cutoff is 26.7, which is down from 34.6 in 2021, 39.06 in 2020, and 44.3 in 2019.
The OBC cutoff in 2022 is 67, as compared to 68.02 in 2021, 72.8 in 2020, and 74.3 in 2019.
For EWS, the cutoff in 2022 is 63.11.

The authorities have released the JEE Main 2022 cutoff separately for all the categories. It is necessary to qualify the JEE Main cutoff by the applicants as per their category mentioned in the application form. It has also been seen that the EWS cutoff for JEE Main 2022 is 63.1114141, which is quite less than the previous year's cutoff. The cutoff for the general category is 88.4121383 which is higher than last year.
In the JEE Mains 2022 result, around 2.5 lakh candidates were declared qualified and will be called for the JEE Advanced 2022 exam. It is conducted by IIT Bombay on August 28, 2022. Every year, the exam is conducted by the NTA for admissions to engineering courses offered by several participating institutes, including NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. To take admissions to engineering colleges, candidates have to qualify for the JEE Main cutoff.

The result of JEE Main 2022 for session 2 was released on August 8, 2022 by the National Testing Agency (NTA). 24 candidates have received a perfect NTA score of 100. Students can check and access their NTA JEE results at jeemain.nta.nic.in, the official website of the NTA. The application form for JEE Advanced 2022 has been released by IIT Bombay for all eligible Indian nationals at jeeadv.ac.in. The last date to fill out the online application form is August 11, and the fee can be paid till August 12. Foreign students are exempted from JEE Main 2022 and can directly fill in the JEE Advanced application form which is available for them from August 1. The exam date for JEE Advanced is August 28, 2022.
