JEE Main 2023, Bihar board 12th dates clash, students fume

The last exam of JEE Main first session scheduled to be held on February 1 coincides with maths exam of Bihar Board Class 12. Hashtag “#PradhanJiBlessJEE23” is trending on social media with aspirants tagging the Education Ministry and NTA raising their demands.

As the National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 dates, a large section of students, especially from Bihar, is in a dilemma since JEE Main 2023 revised dates are clashing with Bihar board Class 12 mathematics exam. Students are demanding that the JEE Main 2023 first session be postponed to a later date. 

Conflict in schedules of JEE Main, BSEB 12th exam 

Many students are already in a tight spot after being allotted exam centres in other states. Adding to their woes is mathematics exam date coinciding with the JEE Main 2023 exam date. As per the time table released by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), the theory exams will be conducted from February 1 to 11, 2023, whereas JEE Main 2023 will be conducted on January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31 and February 1. Only the second shift exam will be held on January 28.  

The BSEB 12th board mathematics exam will be held on February 1 from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm, whereas JEE Main 2023 last exam will also be held on the same date from 9 am to noon.Hashtag “#PradhanJiBlessJEE23” is trending on social media with aspirants tagging the Education Ministry and National Testing Agency (NTA) raising their demands.  

A student wrote, “JEE Mains 2023 NTA decides to occupy 1st Feb and 2nd Feb, vacating 27th, 28th Jan for #ParikshaPeCharcha2023. But, that directly clashes with Bihar Boards. How insane is this? A talkshow getting more importance than board exams? Shameful.#JEEMains2023 #jeemainsinapril,” while another tweeted, “#Jee23ClashingWithBoards #ModiJiSaveJEE23Students Got to know that #JEEMain2023 dates near to #ParikshaPeCharcha is rescheduled Pls confirm If yes then why not for students.”
