JEE Main 2024: Check Exam Structure and Topics Removed in Physics, Maths & Chemistry

JEE Mains 2024 Exam Date Session 1: Nationa Testing Agency (NTA) has already announced the exam dates for JEE Mains. As per the scheduled date, JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam will be conducted from January 24 to February 1. Whereas, session 2, is set to be held from April 1 to 15, 2024. This time, the JEE Main syllabus 2024 has seen many changes from previous years, with the addition and removal of a few chapters.
The NTA consulted with various boards to align the syllabus with the NCERT curriculum. The reduction in JEE Main syllabus will give students more time to prepare. However, with only a month left for JEE Main 2024, candidates must have started preparing for the entrance exam as per the revised syllabus. They can check the JEE Mains exam pattern and the deleted topics of JEE Mains.
Is the syllabus of JEE Mains reduced?
Many candidates have been asking this question till now. The JEE Main syllabus has been revised. The syllabus contains 64 chapters, with 16 in math, 20 in physics, and 28 in chemistry. Some of the changes include:
- Mathematics: Mathematical Induction and Mathematical Reasoning units have been removed from the syllabus of Mathematics
- Physics: In Physics, Communication Device units have been removed from the syllabus
- Chemistry: Surface Chemistry, States of Matter, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Metals, Hydrogen, Environmental Chemistry, Alcohol Phenol and Ether, and Polymers chapters have been removed
