JEE Main 2024 Result Statistics: Top 2.5 Lakh to Qualify for IIT JEE Advanced
Candidates aspiring to take admission to IITs will have to appear for JEE Advanced 2024. However, such candidates will have to wait for the JEE Mains 2024 final result to know if they are qualifying for the JEE Advanced exam. The final result will be available with JEE Main 2024 session 2 scorecard. JEE Mains session 2 exams will be held between April 4 to 15. NTA has announced JEE Main 2024 session 1 result today.
JEE Advanced 2024 eligibility states that the top 2.5 lakh candidates of the JEE Main 2024 common rank list (CRL) will be eligible to take the IIT JEE exam on May 26. The JEE Main 2024 AIR will be announced based on the performances of candidates in both sessions. NTA has conducted session 1 exams on January 27, 29, 30, 31 and February 1. The results of which were announced today, February 13. 23 candidates have scored 100 percentile in JEE Main 2024 session 1 exams.
The IIT aspirants will now have to wait for NTA to announce the JEE Main Session 2 exam results, which will be the final JEE Mains result. The JEE Main 2024 session 2 exam will be held between April 4 to 15, and the result for the same is expected on April 25. The JEE Main 2024 session 2 result will mention the JEE Mains cutoff for the JEE Advanced exam and AIR. The final scorecard will also mention whether the candidate has qualified for the JEE Advanced 2024 exam.
Those candidates who will find their names on the list of top 2.5 lakh candidates can take the next step towards their IIT dream – registering for the JEE Advanced, scheduled for May 26, 2024. This second-stage exam is known for its challenging nature and will further whittle down the competition to ultimately select the brightest minds for admission into the prestigious IITs.
The JEE Advanced 2024 official website is jeeadv.ac.in. Registration for JEE Advanced opens on April 21, 2024.
Eligible candidates now have the opportunity to register for JEE Advanced through the official website. The registration process usually requires uploading scanned documents and payment of a fee. Candidates are advised to carefully review the eligibility criteria and instructions before registering.
Number of "Top" JEE Main Candidates to be Selected for JEE Advanced 2024
Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in BE/BTech Paper of JEE (Main) 2024. The total number of candidates may be slightly greater than 2,50,000 in the presence of “tied” ranks/scores in any category. IIT Madras has released category category-wise number of candidates who will be eligible for the JEE Advanced exam, check below:
