JEE Main 2025 Result OUT; 250000 Top Scorers Eligible for IIT JEE Advanced

Candidates who want to get admission to IITs will need to take the JEE Advanced 2025 exam. However, they must first wait for the final result of JEE Mains 2025 to find out if they qualify for JEE Advanced. The final result will be available along with the scorecard for JEE Mains 2025 session 2. The session 2 exams will be held from April 1 to 8. The results for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 have been announced today.
The first session of the JEE Main BE/BTech paper was held from January 22 to 29, and the results were announced on February 11. In this session, 14 candidates scored a 100 percentile. Now, according to the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2025, only the top 2.5 lakh candidates from the JEE Main 2025 Common Rank List (CRL) can appear for the IIT JEE exam on May 18. The JEE Main 2025 All India Rank (AIR) will be based on candidatesโ performance in both sessions. After session 2, NTA will release the JEE Main 2025 cutoff for JEE Advanced as per which the top 2.5 lakh candidates will be allowed to apply for JEE Advanced 2025.
JEE Advanced 2025 registration will start on April 23, 2025, through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates need to upload scanned documents and pay a fee to complete their registration. Itโs important to carefully read all the eligibility requirements and instructions before registering.

Number of "Top" JEE Main Candidates to be Selected for JEE Advanced 2025
To be eligible for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam, candidates must be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates in the BE/BTech Paper of JEE (Main) 2025, across all categories. The actual number of candidates may be slightly higher than 2,50,000 if there are tied ranks or scores within any category. IIT Kanpur has also released the category-wise number of candidates who will be eligible for the JEE Advanced exam. Check the details below.

JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam will be held between April 1 and 8. The final results of this session are expected to be announced on April 17. The final JEE Main 2025 results will also include the JEE Main 2025 cutoff for JEE Advanced eligibility and the final AIR. If a candidate's name is in the top 2.5 lakh, they can register for JEE Advanced 2025, taking the next step toward their dream of studying at an IIT.
