JEE Main 25 July 2021 analysis: Shift 1 over, know how students reacted after exam
The third day of JEE Main 2021 Session 3 held today (July 25). The candidates who have attempted the paper in the first shift gave a mixed response about the difficulty level of the exam. Scroll down to know the difficulty level of the paper and the reaction of the test takers.
JEE Main 2021 session 3 first shift was held from 9 am to noon, whereas the evening shift will be held from 3pm to 6 pm. Students gave a mixed response while talking about the difficulty level of the examination.
Aayush Chugh who appeared in the first shift of JEE Main July 25, 2021, said, “The paper was not good. The overall difficulty level of the paper was tough. Maths was comparatively easy. Most the questions in the maths section were from trigonometry. Organic chemistry was given more weightage. Questions were also asked from biomolecules and polymer. In physics, numerical-based questions were easy and more weightage was given to modern physics.”
Another student Deepak said, The difficulty level of the paper was moderate. The maths section was tough and lengthy. There were questions from probability. Physics was easy and the difficulty level of chemistry was moderate. The questions were mainly from NCERT.”
Rohit, who also appeared for the JEE Main March session, said chemistry was tough and the difficulty level of maths was moderate and questions were asked mostly from vector. The physics section was quite balanced and easy.
As per the JEE Main exam pattern 2021, paper 1 consists of a total of 90 questions of which 25 questions from chemistry, physics, and mathematics each. Students have to attempt 75 questions only. Each subject has 20 multiple-choice questions and 10 numerical questions (any five numerical questions are compulsory).
JEE Main 2021: Candidates from rain-hit areas in Maharashtra to get another chance to appear in test
Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that students affected by rains and landslides in Maharashtra and unable to write JEE Mains on July 25 and July 27 need not panic. It said the NTA would provide another chance for these students to appear for the engineering entrance exam.
The NTA statement read, “In the light of heavy rains and landslides in Maharashtra, to assist the Maharashtra student community, the NTA has decided to grant another opportunity to all candidates who have examination centres in the cities of Kolhapur, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Raigadh, Sindhudurg, Sangli, and Satara, and who are not able to reach the Examination Centre for JEE (Main) –2021 Session – 3.”
The first and second sessions were conducted in February and March, respectively. The third session is being held on July 20, 22, 25 & 27 and the fourth session will be held on August 26, 27 & 31 and September 1 & 2, 2021.
Joint Entrance Exam (Main) is the engineering entrance exam for admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. JEE Main exam is also the qualifying exam for the JEE Advanced, the only admission test for the IITs. This year, IIT Kharagpur will conduct the JEE Advanced.
