JEE Main 25 July 2021: Day 3 over, students find maths easy

The third day of the JEE Main 2021 Session 3 concluded at 6 pm today (July 25). The candidates who attempted the paper in the second shift found the paper relatively easy. Read below to know the difficulty level of the paper and the students’ reaction.

The first shift of the JEE Main 2021 session 3 was held from 9 am to noon, whereas the second shift took place between 3 pm and 6 pm. As per the students’ reactions, the overall difficulty level of the shift 2 paper was easy and most of the questions in chemistry were from NCERT books.

Renu, who appeared in the second shift of JEE Main 2021, said the overall paper was good. Physics and chemistry were easy and maths was also easy, but lengthy. There were questions from organic and inorganic chemistry. In physics, there were questions from kinematics, semiconductor and communications, whereas in maths, there were questions from vector and 3D.

Another student Aaditya said, the chemistry section was completely NCERT-based and more weightage was given to chapters of organic and inorganic chemistry. There were a few questions from physical chemistry. Maths was easy as compared to the previous sessions. There were questions on relations and statistics.

Shivani said, "The overall difficulty level of the exam was easy to moderate. Maths was moderate in difficulty level. The section was easy as compared to the previous sessions. The difficulty level of physics and chemistry were easy."

As per the JEE Main exam pattern 2021, paper 1 consists of a total of 90 questions of which 25 questions from chemistry, physics, and mathematics each. Students have to attempt 75 questions only. Each subject has 20 multiple-choice questions and 10 numerical questions (any five numerical questions are compulsory).

The first and second sessions were conducted in February and March, respectively. The third session is being held on July 20, 22, 25 & 27 and the fourth session will be held on August 26, 27 & 31 and September 1 & 2, 2021.   

Joint Entrance Exam (Main) is the engineering entrance exam for admission to NITsIIITs and GFTIs. JEE Main exam is also the qualifying exam for the JEE Advanced, the only admission test for the IITs. This year, IIT Kharagpur will conduct the JEE Advanced.
