How to Use JEE Main JEE Main Answer Key to Calculate Score?
To calculate scores using the JEE Main answer key, candidates can use the steps below:
- Download the answer key of JEE Main 2023.
- Now crosscheck the answers in the key with that of the responses submitted by you in the exam.
- If the answer matches then add 4 marks. If not then deduct 1 marks.
- Follow the process and calculate the total score.
Or simply put the number of correct answers and the number of incorrect answers in the formula below:
JEE Main 2023 raw score = 4 X number of correct answers - 1 X number of wrong answers
Note, that the scores that are fetched after using the answer key are the raw score. NTA will convert the raw score to percentile scores for the All India Rank, cutoff and final marks.

Who Can Fill JEE Mains 2023 Application Form Session 2?
- Candidates who have passed the Class 12 exam in 2021/2022 or who are appearing in 2023.
- No age limit.
- For paper 1, candidates must have Physics and Maths in Class 12 and any other subject from Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical vocational subject.
- For Paper 2A, candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Maths in Class 12.
- For Paper 2B, candidates must have Maths in Class 12.

JEE Main 2023 Exam Centre
National Testing Agency (NTA), the examination conducting authority assigns the JEE Main 2023 exam locations. NTA will conduct the exam in 399 cities in India and 25 cities outside India. Candidates can choose from a list of JEE Main 2023 exam centres given by NTA. It is advised that the candidate choose a centre that is most close to their home. JEE Main April 2023 Application Form
NTA will start JEE Main registration 2023 session 2 on February 7. JEE Main 2023 application form link session 2 will be enabled at jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main application form 2023 last date is March 7.
The process of submitting the JEE Mains 2023 registration form includes completing the registration, filling in the application form, uploading the necessary documents, and making the application fee payment. JEE Main 2023 registration fee has been raised. Male candidates of General/Gen-EWS/OBC (NCL) now have to pay INR 1000 while application fees for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender and Female candidates is INR 500 now.

JEE Main 2023 Session 1 Exam: Around 30% registered candidates are females
Of the total 8.6 lakh candidates who have registered for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2023 January session, 30 per cent are females, The Times of India reported. Male aspirants continue to dominate, accounting for more than 6 lakh, or nearly 70 per cent, of the registered candidates. However, for the first time, women account for over 30 per cent of the candidates, although the increase in absolute numbers is marginal compared to 2022, i.e., from 2.5 lakh to 2.6 lakh.

JEE Mains 2023: NTA revises 75% eligibility criteria
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has relaxed the 75 percent eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2023 exam. As per the official notification, aspirants who have scored 75% marks or are in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 of any education board will be eligible to seek admission to the NITs and IITs and to appear for JEE Advanced 2023.

JEE Main 2023 official answer key for Jan session
NTA will release the official JEE Main answer key 2023 a few days after the conclusion of the exam. Candidates will be able to check their JEE Main answer key by NTA from the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The grievances/objections submitted by the candidates will be reviewed by the NTA after which the final JEE Main answer key 2023 will be released. JEE Main result 2023 will be calculated based on the final answer key. Along with the answer key, NTA will also release JEE Mains response sheet and question papers. Candidates will be able to calculate their expected score in the exam using the candidate response sheet, question paper, and JEE Main 2022 answer key.

NTA marks vs percentile in JEE Mains 2023
NTA will use a conversion method to arrive at the JEE Mains 2023 marks. "Conversion of the raw score in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and the conversion of the total into NTA scores. Overall merit shall be prepared by merging NTA scores of all shifts of all days," an NTA statement said.

JEE Main 2023 marking scheme for numerical value type questions
There will be negative markings for numerical value type questions. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner:
i. Correct Answer: Four marks ( 4)
ii. Incorrect Answer: Minus one mark (-1)
iii. Unanswered/Marked for Review: No mark (0).
iv. If a question is found to be incorrect or the Question is dropped then Four marks ( 4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question. The reason could be due to human error or technical error.

JEE Main 2023 Cutoff
JEE Main 2023 cutoff means the minimum marks candidates need to obtain to sit for JEE Advanced. NAT release this cutoff after the final session of JEE Main 2023 is over. The cutoff marks vary category-wise. The cutoff marks will be the minimum percentile marks needed. This year the top 2,50,000 candidates in JEE Main 2023, will be able to register for JEE Advanced.

- Ensure you reach the test centre at least half an hour before the reporting time mentioned in your JEE Main 2023 admit Card. Candidates, reporting after the gate closes, will not be allowed to enter the test venue. Candidates will be undergoing various mandatory processes, thus reaching on time is important.
- Carry JEE Main admit card 2023 along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
- Follow a proper dress code.
- Do not indulge in unethical practices.

JEE Main 2023 1 February Exam: NTA Advisory for students
- Candidates will not be allowed to carry any items other than those mentioned on the admit card.
- Candidates must write their name, roll number at the top of the sheet, return the sheets, and admit card to the invigilator before leaving the examination hall.
- Diabetic students will be allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets, fruits, and transparent water bottles to the examination hall/room. However, they will not be allowed to carry packed foods like chocolates/candy/sandwiches etc.
- Candidates will have to sit in the seat allocated to them.
- Candidates will be allowed to appear at the allotted venue for the test only.
- No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre once the exam starts.
- Requests for change in JEE Main 2023 exam centres will not be entertained.
