JEE Mains 2024 notification released, syllabus reduced: NTA DG Subodh Kumar

NTA DG Subodh Kumar has informed that the JEE Main 2024 notification and syllabus has been released. The syllabus of JEE Mains 2024 has been reduced considering the rationalisation in class 9 to 12 syllabus by several state boards as well as CBSE and NCERT. The JEE Main 2024 application form has been started. JEE Main 2024 registration date session 1 is November 1 to 30. 

JEE Main 2024 aspirants will have a little easier exam this year as the syllabus for the exam has been reduced, informed the NTA Director General Subodh Kumar Singh. The decision to redesign the JEE Main syllabus 2024 has come after several class 12 boards rationalized their curriculum during the pandemic.

The CBSE, NCERT as well as several state boards reduced their class 9 to 12 syllabus in the past 3 years but the JEE Mains syllabus were kept untouched. The NTA consulted all state boards as well as CBSE and NCERT and the expert committee will soon come up with the new JEE Main syllabus, said NTA Director.

The National Testing Agency has released the JEE Main 2024 notification along with the syllabus. The notification and syllabus is available online on the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.nic.in as well as nta.ac.in.

JEE Main 2024 Important Update

• The notification for JEE Main 2024 is to be released this week
• JEE Mains syllabus 2024 to get lighter as several state boards have reduced the syllabus of class 9 to 12
• NTA to ensure all students get exam centres near to their permanent/current residential address
• JEE Main 2024 result dates also to be announced in the notification to reduce anxiety among students and to help institute plan their admission process

JEE Main 2024 Exam Date

JEE Main 2024 exam dates had been announced earlier by the NTA. As per the schedule, NTA will conduct the session 1 JEE Main 2024 exam from January 24 to February 1 while the second session will be held between April 1 to 15.

JEE Main 2024 Registration Date

NTA has announced the application form date for both January and April sessions. The JEE Main 2024 dates for registration has been informed along with the notification. The registration for session 1 has started on November 1. 

Students to get JEE Main exam cities near to their location

The NTA DG has also informed that all efforts will be made to ensure students get exam centres near to their current/permanent address. Several students had reported in the past of getting distant JEE Mains exam centres as well as not getting the exam centres as per the choice filled in the form. The NTA will make sure students get exam cities as per the choice they provide in the form.

JEE Main 2024 Result Dates to be announced along with registration date

Candidates face a tough time after the exam guessing the result dates. To help on this, NTA will inform JEE Main result dates in advance to students. As per NTA DG, JEE Main 2024 result dates will be announced along with the registration dates.
