The SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates of Maharashtra State have to produce their caste validity certificate in the format available on JoSAA 2024 website. ST certificates from Tamil Nadu state must be issued by the concerned Revenue Divisional Officer

The authorities have released the JoSAA 2024 cutoffs for rounds 1 and 2. Now, the authority is all set to release the JoSAA 2024 cutoff for Round 3. The JoSAA seat allocation results will be checked by the candidates on the official JoSAA website. Step-1: Visit the official website of CSAB - csab.nic.in.  

Step-2: Enter your JEE Main Roll Number and other required details for registration. Update some details such as State of Eligibility, Gender, Nationality and Category.  

Step-3: Upload the scanned copy of the documents mentioned below.  

Step-4: Pay the participation or processing fee and confirm the registration.  

NOTE: At registration, the candidates must enter the Bank Account details such as Name in the bank account, Bank Name, Account Number and IFSC code for any refund from CSAB. 

Before registering for the CSAB counselling, candidates must be ready with the scanned copy of the following documents. The documents listed below will be required to be uploaded at the time of CSAB counselling registration. 

• Class 10 Certificate.  
• Class 12 Certificate or Mark Sheet.  
• Category Certificate (applicable for ST, SC, OBC-NCL, Gen-EWS).  
• PwD Certificate (if applicable).  
• State of Eligibility Certificate (applicable for candidates who passed Class 12th from outside India).  
• PwD Candidates will have to upload an Affidavit. 

CSAB special rounds counselling is conducted for admissions to the first year of Engineering/Technology and Architecture/Planning Programmes on supernumerary seats in NITs for Union Territories, and in some AICTE approved Institutes for North East and Union Territories (NEUT) through this centralised seat allocation procedure.

After the registration, candidates will need to fill in their choices of branches and colleges in order of preference. As per the candidate’s qualifications, the available choices for admission will be listed. Once the choices are entered, candidates will be able to arrange them in order of their preference by selecting “Arrange Filled Choices”.

Getting AIR 1 in JEE Advanced will allow the candidate to get admission into any of the top IT colleges, such as IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, and many more. The toppers with AIR 1 are rewarded with money and other benefits also.

The admission process for admissions in 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 40 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs) is done by JoSAA in five rounds. In these rounds, candidates are allotted seats based on their JEE Main or JEE Advanced rank and preferences filled by them during registration. Candidates who are allotted seats have to either accept or float the seat.

CRL i.e. the common rank list/overall rank is considered for JoSAA counselling in the case of general category students.

Float: If candidates want to accept the allotted seat but are considering higher preference choices in further rounds.

Freeze: If candidates are satisfied with the allotted seat and do not wish to participate in further rounds of seat allotments.
