• Candidates will be able to check the available choices of engineering streams and institutions (as per their rank) only after registration. As per the availability, aspirants must choose the academic programmes in order of their preferences.
• Candidates must not forget to lock their choices after filling them online. This is an important step in the process of the JoSAA 2024 seat allotment process. If a candidate fails to do so, the system will automatically save the choices selected earlier and the preferences will be displayed like that only.

It is a criterion that is used to determine the eligibility of candidates for admission to the IITs and NIT+ system. As per this rule, candidates should score within the top 20 percentile of their respective boards or qualify for the JEE Advanced examination to be eligible for admission. That is, percentile cut-off marks represent the minimum marks required by a candidate to be among the twenty percent of candidates.
