KCET Counselling 2024: Last Date to Change Options Today

KCET Counselling 2024: The Karnataka Examination Authority will end the KCET 2024 option entry facility to make any changes in the choices today: August 27, 2024. Candidates who qualified in the entrance exam and are participating in the counselling round can change KCET option entry 2024 online at the official website: kea.kar.nic.in. They need to login by using their registration number to change their KCET options 2024.

Candidates have to enter their preferred choices of colleges and courses through KCET option entry window. Based on the choices filled, KEA will declare the KCET seat allotment 2024 result on September 1. Those allotted seats have to pay the confirmation fee and physically report at the respective institute.

  • On the homepage, click on the KCET option entry link
  • On the login page, enter the login credentials
  • Change the options and enter the preferred choices of courses and colleges from the dropdown menu

  • KCET application form
  • KCET admit card
  • KCET application fee payment receipt
  • Two recent passport sized photograph
  • Class 10/SSLC marksheet & certificate
  • Class 12/2nd PUC marksheet & certificate
  • 7 years study certificate countersigned by the concerned BEO/DDPI
  • Income certificate
  • Rural study certificate
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)

Q:   How is seat allotment done in KCET counselling?

A:

Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the KCET counselling in online mode. Applicants have to complete the choice filling and locking after a successful registration. Candidates have to fill preferred choices of colleges and courses at the time of choice filling of KCET counselling 2025. KEA allots seats during the counselling process as per the choices filled by the candidates. After mock allotment, candidates are given chance to change their choice preference. After seat allotment results of KCET, candidates will be provided three options of freeze float and side. 

Q:   What is the total number of participating institutes for KCET counselling?

A:

There are around 250 colleges that offer admissions to engineering and architecture courses. There are both morning and evening shifts colleges. Applicants have to fill in the college and course choices at the time of KCET option entry facility. The admissions to architecture colleges will be done on the basis of NATA score 2025 while engineering admissions will be done on KCET 2025 score only. Some of the top colleges for admissions to engineering and architecture courses are given below. 

  • PES University 

  • Ramaiah Institute of Technology 

  • R.V. College of Engineering 

  • Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering

Q:   I am not interested in the seat offered during KCET counselling. Can I still participate in further seat allotment rounds without accepting

A:

Yes, you can still participate in the KCET counselling further grounds even if they are allotted seats. Applicants allotted seats can opt for float or sliding option from the login. If you want to get a seat in the same college but a different course then you can choose the slides option. However, if applicants is looking for upgradation in the college allotted then they must float option. If candidates choose freeze option after seat allotment then there is no provisions to participate in the further grounds of counseling.
