KCET 2024 Counselling: The Karnataka Examinations Authority will end the option entry window for KCET round 2 counselling today: September 11, 2024. All those who have registered for counselling round 2 can complete KEA KCET option entry online at the official website: kea.kar.nic.in. They have to use their hall ticket number to enter the preferred choices for KCET round 2 counselling. Based on the filled KCET 2024 options, the seat allotment result for round 2 will be announced. However, as of now the date for the release of KCET seat allotment results has not been announced.

How to Complete KCET Counselling 2024 Round 2 Option Entry?
Through KCET option entry 2024, candidates have to enter their preferred choices of colleges and courses. They can check the steps provided below to know how to complete UGCET 2024 option entry for round 2:
Step 1: Go to the official website: kea.kar.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on KCET round 2 option entry link
Step 3: On the next page, a login window will appear on the screen
Step 4: Enter the CET number
Step 5: Enter preferred choices of courses and colleges
Step 6: Submit the form for future references
After completing the choice-filling and locking process, the KEA will then allocate seats based on these choices. Following the KCET mock allotment, they will have an opportunity to modify their preferences. Once the final seat allotment results are released, they will be given three options: freeze, float, or slide. Further, to confirm admission, they have to report to the allotted college.

Q: How is seat allotment done in KCET counselling?
Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the KCET counselling in online mode. Applicants have to complete the choice filling and locking after a successful registration. Candidates have to fill preferred choices of colleges and courses at the time of choice filling of KCET counselling 2025. KEA allots seats during the counselling process as per the choices filled by the candidates. After mock allotment, candidates are given chance to change their choice preference. After seat allotment results of KCET, candidates will be provided three options of freeze float and side.
Q: I am not interested in the seat offered during KCET counselling. Can I still participate in further seat allotment rounds without accepting
Yes, you can still participate in the KCET counselling further grounds even if they are allotted seats. Applicants allotted seats can opt for float or sliding option from the login. If you want to get a seat in the same college but a different course then you can choose the slides option. However, if applicants is looking for upgradation in the college allotted then they must float option. If candidates choose freeze option after seat allotment then there is no provisions to participate in the further grounds of counseling.
Q: What is the total number of participating institutes for KCET counselling?
There are around 250 colleges that offer admissions to engineering and architecture courses. There are both morning and evening shifts colleges. Applicants have to fill in the college and course choices at the time of KCET option entry facility. The admissions to architecture colleges will be done on the basis of NATA score 2025 while engineering admissions will be done on KCET 2025 score only.
