KEA will release the KCET round 2 counselling seat matrix on September 8. KCET counselling 2024 round 2 option entry will start on September 8, 2 PM onwards. KCET Counselling 2024: Karnataka Examination Authority has released the KCET round 2 counselling dates 2024 at the official website. Applicants can check the KCET counselling dates 2024 at kea.kar.nic.in. KEA will display the KCET counselling 2024 round 2 seat matrix on September 8. Applicants can pay the caution fee for medical seat from September 9 to 11 from the login window. Candidates will be able to modify their KCET option 2024 for round 2 allotment from September 9 to 11.

The exam authority has not notified the KCET round 2 seat allotment date yet. However, it is expected that exam authorities will release the KCET seat allotment within two or three days after the conclusion of option entry. In case any candidate floats the allotted seat in round 1 then this seat will also be considered in KCET round 2 counselling.
KEA has released the KCET round 1 seat allotment 2024 on August 29 at the official website. Applicants can check the KCET round 1 seat allotment through CET number. Candidates can pay the seat confirmation fee by September 6, 5:30 PM.
The exam authority will first release the KCET counselling round 2 mock allotment result. Applicants not satisfied with their allotment will be allowed to change their option preference before the declaration of actual allotment.

Q: How is seat allotment done in KCET counselling?
Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the KCET counselling in online mode. Applicants have to complete the choice filling and locking after a successful registration. Candidates have to fill preferred choices of colleges and courses at the time of choice filling of KCET counselling 2025. KEA allots seats during the counselling process as per the choices filled by the candidates. After mock allotment, candidates are given chance to change their choice preference. After seat allotment results of KCET, candidates will be provided three options of freeze float and side.
Q: I am not interested in the seat offered during KCET counselling. Can I still participate in further seat allotment rounds without accepting
Yes, you can still participate in the KCET counselling further grounds even if they are allotted seats. Applicants allotted seats can opt for float or sliding option from the login. If you want to get a seat in the same college but a different course then you can choose the slides option. However, if applicants is looking for upgradation in the college allotted then they must float option. If candidates choose freeze option after seat allotment then there is no provisions to participate in the further grounds of counseling.
Q: What is the total number of participating institutes for KCET counselling?
There are around 250 colleges that offer admissions to engineering and architecture courses. There are both morning and evening shifts colleges. Applicants have to fill in the college and course choices at the time of KCET option entry facility. The admissions to architecture colleges will be done on the basis of NATA score 2025 while engineering admissions will be done on KCET 2025 score only.
