KCET exam: KEA proposes Aadhaar-linked registration for all exams
Karnataka Examination Authority will soon release the KCET exam date at the official website. After seat blocking issue during KCET counselling, KEA is now planning to implement Aadhar based registrations for all entrance exams. KCET Counselling 2204: Karnataka Examination Authority will soon release the KCET exam date at the official website. Amid the ongoing seat blocking issue in KCET counselling 2024, KEA is now planning to implement Aadhar linked registration for all the exams. The move came after the issue of KCET seat blocking through dummy accounts in top engineering colleges of Karnataka. The exam authority has submitted a proposal to consider the Aadhar based registrations to Karnataka e-Governance department. The e-Governance department is also in favor of this proposal.

The proposal of Aadhar-linked registration aims to ensure authentic registrations with genuine information only. This will also prevent dummy registrations for entrance exams like KCET. Apart from entrance exams, KEA is also planning to implement Aadhar-based registrations to government recruitment exams.
KEA has conducted the KCET counselling 2024 in three rounds. Applicants allotted seats have to report at the respective institute for document verification and physical reporting. In case any applicants fail to complete physical reporting then allotted seat during KCET counselling 2024 will be cancelled.
There are also reports that KEA may conduct KCET exam 2025 in online computer-based mode. However, there is no confirmation for the same yet from the officials.
