KCET Option Entry 2024 Last Date Extended

KCET Counselling 2024: The Karnataka Examination Authority has extended the last date to enter KCET options 2024 today: July 30, 2024. Candidates qualified in the entrance exam can complete KCET 2024 option entry online at the official website: kea.kar.nic.in. As of now, the last date for KCET option entry has not yet been released. They have to use their hall ticket number to enter the preferred options for KCET 2024 round 1.

It has been stated in the notice, that "The government has issued the seat matrix for Naturopathy and Yoga courses. Interested and eligible candidates can add their options in the order of priority for Naturopathy and Yoga seats starting from 30-07-2024."

It further states, "The option entry portal is open. Eligible candidates can continue entering their options in the order of priority for Engineering, Architecture, B.Sc. (Nursing), Farm Science, Veterinary, B-Pharma, Pharm-D, and other courses."

How to Complete KCET Option Entry 2024?

Candidates who have not yet entered their options can complete it now. As per the counselling schedule, they were earlier given seven days to enter the options in the order of their preference. They can go through the steps to know how to enter KCET 2024 options:

Step 1: Go to the official website: kea.kar.nic.in 2024

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the KCET option entry link

Step 3: A login page will appear on the screen

Step 4: Enter hall ticket number and fill in the preferred choices of colleges and courses

Q: Β  Can I use a calculator during KCET 2025 exam?

A:

No, Karnataka Examination Authority will not allow candidates to use calculators during the KCET 2025 exam. Applicants are also not allowed to carry any electronics devices like mobile phones, pagers and other items inside the exam centre. Applicants appearing in the exam can use their question paper for rough work. The authorities will allow candidates to do calculations and rough work in the question paper booklet. Any candidate carrying restricted items inside the KCET 2025 exam hall will be disqualified from the admission process.

KEA will release the KCET 2025 admit card at the official website. Applicants appearing in the exam have to carry their KCET admit card along with one valid photo ID proof at the exam centre. Candidates are allowed to carry their pen/pencil, face mask, and water bottle inside the exam centre. However, KEA will not allow candidates to appear in the KCET 2025 carrying restricted items at the exam centre. The items restricted inside KCET exam hall are given below.

  1. Geometry or Pencil box
  2. Handbag
  3. Purse
  4. Eatables
  5. Mobile Phone/ Earphone/ Microphone/ Pager
  6. Calculator
  7. DocuPen
  8. Any metallic item or electronic gadgets/devices.

Applicants looking for admissions to engineering and other courses can check the KCET exam dates at kea.kar.nic.in. KCET 2025 exam will be conducted on April 18 & 19. KEA conducts KCET 2025 exam in offline centre based mode. Candidates appearing in the exam must carry their KCET admit card 2025 and one valid photo ID proof.
