KCET Registration 2024: KEA Released Important Notice on RD Certificate Correction

KCET Registration 2024: KEA has issued a notice stating that candidates who have claimed reservation but are being considered under the General category due to a mismatch in data can make corrections. Check KCET 2024 dates for correction in RD certificate here 

KCET Registration 2024: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued a notification indicating that many applicants who have applied for reservations under the Caste/Income/HK/NCLC/Religious Minority certificate category in the Karnataka UGCET 2024 application and verification process have been categorized as 'General Merit' (GM). This mismatch has happened due to discrepancies between the names of the candidates on their application forms and their respective RD certificates.

KEA will release the list of these candidates on February 28, 2024. Further, those whose names have been mentioned in the list can get their names rectified in the RD certificate. They can make corrections from April 1 to 15 by rectifying their names and uploading the correction KCET 2024 RD certificate. 

KEA Notice Regarding RD Certificate Correction

KEA states in the notice that, "Clarfications has been issued earlier informing the candidates that the name of the candidate in the RD certificate (including surnames, initials, dots, space) should be the same as in the SSLC marks cards while applying for UGCET 2024. But inspite of that it is observed that many candidates claiming reservations under Caste / Income/HK/NCLC/Religious Minority certificate category in the UGCET 2024 online application cum verification module have been considered under 'GM' due to mis-match in the name of the candidate in the RD certificate." 

It further states, "The list of such candidates who have claimed reservation but being considered under 'GM' category due to mis-match shall be published in KEA website on 28.02.2024. The candidates are advised to go through this list and get their names rectified in the RD certificate. An the interface will be provided from 01.04.2024 to 15.04.2024 for such candidates to rectify their names and upload the correct RD certificate." 

KCET 2024 Application Date Extended 

Earlier, KEA again extended the last date to apply for the Karnataka KCET 2024. As per the notice released, the KCET application form can be filled and submitted till February 23, 2024, by 5 PM whereas the payment of fees can be done by February 26. Candidates who are yet to apply can fill up the KCET application form online at kea.kar.nic.in.
