Madras University Admissions 2022: Applications invited for free education

Candidates must note that the last date for uploading applications with all necessary documents on the website is 15 days from the publication of Class 12 results.

Madras University Admissions 2022: The University of Madras has started accepting admission applications under the free education scheme. The applications are invited at Madras University from candidates belonging to low economic backgrounds. Students facing a financial crunch, and willing to pursue degree courses in its affiliated colleges in the 2022-23 academic year may apply for Madras University Admissions 2022 under the free education scheme.

According to the free education scheme, affiliated aided and self-financing colleges enroll two students each to offer free education and support them in completing the degree course.

Madras University Admissions under Free Education Scheme: Eligibility Criteria

The varsity will give preference to orphans, children of widows, first graduates of the family and economically backward students. Candidates applying for Madras University admissions under the free education scheme must note that their family include should not exceed INR 3 lakh.

An official press release by Madras University reads, "Preference will be given to economically backward students, orphans, children of widows and also first graduates of the family. The annual income of the family seeking admission under the free education scheme should not exceed INR 3 lakh," the university said in a release.

Candidates interested in applying for Madras University admission under the free education scheme may check details about the applications and documents to be uploaded for the free education on the official website of the university, i.e. www.unom.ac.in. Candidates must note that the last date for uploading applications with all necessary documents on the website is 15 days from the publication of Class 12 results.
