NIT Calicut, Ulster University collaborate for student, faculty exchange
NIT Calicut Director said the agreement will be a starting point for joint academic programmes such as PhD guidance, credit transfer of undergraduate and postgraduate students and funded projects between the two stakeholders.
The National Institute of Technology - Calicut (NITC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for research collaboration and student and faculty exchange programmes with Ulster University, Belfast, the United Kingdom.
NITC Director Professor Prasad Krishna and Professor Paul Seawright from Ulster University (in absentia) signed the agreement. Prof Krishna said the MoU would be a starting point for joint academic programmes such as PhD guidance, credit transfer of undergraduate and postgraduate students and funded projects between the two universities.
The agreement was signed as part of the exchange project funded by Royal Society, UK, with Nikhilkumar Shah and Jayanta Mondal as the lead researchers from Ulster University and Thomas as the lead researcher from NITC.
NBA nod for 5 BTech courses at NIT Calicut
Five BTech programmes offered by NITC were recently accorded accreditation status for six years by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. The accreditation is for programmes in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering, and computer science and engineering during the 2022-2028 period.
