NIT Jalandhar conducts 18th convocation today
The Institute made stay arrangements in the common rooms of the Hostels yesterday for the degree recipients in 18th Convocation of the Institute. Today, the event is being live streamed on the Youtube.
NIT Jalandhar organised the 18th convocation today for award of B.Tech./M.Tech./M.Sc./MBA/Ph.D degrees to 2022 pass out students. The venue of the convocation is Central Seminar Hall of the Institute.
Banwarilal Purohit, Governor Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh is the Chief Guest of the event and Sonam Wangchuk, renowned Ladakh-based Engineer is the Guest of Honour.
All degree recipients and toppers of the each programme registered by October 3, 2023, up to 5 pm by filling up the online consent form available on the website. INR 1,000 is charged from each degree recipient invited to attend the convocation ceremony. A total of 1281 students are being awarded the degrees during the occassion. The breakup for the award of degrees is as follows: PG Diploma-02, B Tech -765, M Tech- 326, MSc -88, MBA- 31 and PhD -69.
The institute earlier released the list of B. Tech. Overall Topper, B. Tech. Toppers, M.Tech Toppers, M.Sc. Toppers, MBA Topper, and Prof. R K Sarin Outstanding Award. NIT Jalandhar Convocation is being live streaming on Youtube.
NIT Jalandhar celebrates Foundation Day 2023
Yesterday, the institute conducted its foundation day. The event saw the fashion parade and bhangra proformances by the students. The event was held to mark the institute's inception from Regional Engineering College to National Institute of Technology.

The Department of Chemical Engineering organized 1st International Conference “Recent Advances in Biofuels and Biomaterials (ICRABB- 2023)” from October 13 to October 14, 2023 in Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar, and Punjab, India.
