NIT Raipur: Spot Admission for M.Tech., M.Sc. Programmes on September 8

The candidates need to report at NIT Raipur on September 8, for the third round of spot admission for M.Tech. and M.Sc. programmes for the academic session of 2023-24.

NIT Raipur shall be conducting a third round of spot admission activity for its M.Tech. and M.Sc. programmes for the academic session 2023-24.

Candidates who have taken admission to any other institute through CCMT/CCMN need not apply for these admissions, said the official statement.

The spot round of seat allocation shall be carried out based on merit for GATE/JAM (as applicable) qualified applicants. For M. Tech. programmes, preference shall be given to GATE-qualified applicants for admission to M. Tech seats in Spot Round. Non-GATE candidates shall have to appear in a test/interview that shall be conducted on the same day i.e., September 8, 2023, at the respective departments. 

For M. Sc. Programme, the applicant must have a valid JAM-score. Institute scholarship is not offered in (a) M.Sc. programme and (b) to non-GATE candidates selected for M. Tech. Programme. In case of M. Tech. programmes, if the applicant is eligible for admission to more than one specialization under a department, she/he may indicate her/his order of preference in application form. There is no need to fill separate form for each specialization. Please note that Transfer, Migration and Character certificate, in original, from the Head of Institution studied last must be produced at the time of Interview or admission, if selected, added the NIT Raipur's statement.

The applicant shall not be reimbursed any fare for travelling and will have to make her/his own arrangement for stay, if required. For details of eligible degrees for admission to M. Tech. and M. Sc programmes, candidates must refer to CCMT 2023 and CCMN 2023 websites, said the official statement.
