Not filled JEE Main 2023? Don’t worry, try out other engineering exams

Those who have not filled the JEE Main 2023 application form or are planning to appear for the JEE Main 2023 Session 2 can meanwhile explore other options available for them. 

Students who have not filled the JEE Main 2023 Session 1 application form should not get disheartened as the exam is held twice a year. Apart from JEE Main, there are other engineering entrance  exams the application process for most of which is currently open. A majority of engineering aspirants appear for more than one exam in an academic year to ensure a good alternative career choice for themselves. Below is a list of engineering entrance examinations students can take after Class 12 for admission to BTech engineering programmes for the 2023-24 academic session.

GUJCET 2023

Candidates can take the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET 2023). The registration process for GUJCET started on January 6, 2023. They can fill out the GUJCET application form 2023 till January 25 through the official website at gujcet.gseb.org.Those applying for GUJCET 2023 will have to pay INR 350 application fee through SBl ePay System (credit card, debit card, Net banking) or from any SBI branch of the country through SBIePay option.  

VITEEE 2023   

The Vellore Institutes of Technology (VIT) Vellore began the registration process for the VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) 2023 in November 2022. VITEEE 2023 will be held between April 17 and April 23, 2023. Candidates can fill out the VITEEE 2023 application form till March 31, 2023, by visiting the official website at viteee.vit.ac.in. VITEEE 2023 application fee of INR 1,350 has to be paid online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card/PayTM.

AEEE 2023

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham released AEEE 2023 application form in November 2022. AEEE 2023 will be held in two phases. Phase 1 will be held from April 21 to 28, while phase 2 from May 5 to 11. The online AEEE 2023 application forms are available on the official website amrita.edu. The last date to apply for the exam is yet to be announced. The application fee for every candidate is INR 1,200. Apart from AEEE 2023 scores, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham admits students based on JEE Main 2023 scores. Candidates can choose to apply for admission based on AEEE scores or JEE Main scores or both. 

WBJEE 2023    

Students can also apply for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE 2023) by visiting the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in. WBJEE 2023 exam will be conducted on April 30, 2023, and the last date to apply for the exam is January 20, 2023. The application fee for General category is INR 500,whereas for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B, it is INR 400.

SRMJEEE 2023  

SRM Institute of Science and Technology released SRMJEEE 2023 application form in November 2022. Candidates can apply for SRMJEEE 2023 by visiting the official website at www.srmist.edu.in. The last date to apply for SRMJEEE 2023 phase 1 exam is April 16, while the deadline to apply for SRMJEEE 2023 phase 2 and SRMJEEE 2023 phase 3 is June 5 and July 17. The exam fee is INR 1,200 for each phase

PESSAT 2023 

PES University released the PESSAT application form 2023 in October 2022. Candidates can apply for PESSAT 2023 by visiting the official website at pessat.com till May 2023. The Application fee for PESSAT 2023 is INR 1,150.

Apart from the exams mentioned above, there are other top engineering entrance exams the application process of which is yet to be started. These are BITSAT, COMEDK and MHT CET. Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, conducts BITSAT every year. It is conducted for admission to Integrated first degree programmes such as BE, pharma and MSc programmes offered by BITS campuses located at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED K) conducts COMEDK UGET (Undergraduate Entrance Test). It is a state-level examination. MHT CET is a state-level examination conducted once a year. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is conducted by the DTE (Directorate of Technical Education), Maharashtra every year for admissions to first-year engineering and technology courses (BE/BTech) and pharmacy programmes (BPharma/PharmaD) in the state.
