The JEE Main 2023 first session is scheduled to be held between January 24 and 31, 2023, while the JEE Main second session is scheduled between April 6 and 12, 2023.

A public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Bombay High Court to reschedule Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2023 dates and remove the 75 per cent eligibility criteria. The JEE Main 2023 first session is scheduled to be held between January 24 and 31, 2023, while the JEE Main second session is scheduled between April 6 and 12, 2023.

The petition was filed by activist Anubha Srivastava Sahai on December 26. It stated that the Class 12 pre-board exams, viva voce of CBSE, ICSE and other state boards are scheduled to be held in January. The clash between JEE Main 2023 and Class 12 pre-board exams will result in less number of students appearing for JEE Main 2023 Session 1.

Earlier, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) had written to the National Testing Agency (NTA) to consider changing the dates of JEE Main 2023. Several students and some student organisations have been demanding postponement of JEE Main 2023. They have expressed concern regarding the clash between JEE Main 2023 exams and CBSE practical exams 2023.

The All India Students Union (AISU) has also written to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, urging him to reschedule the JEE Main 2023 exam. In the letter, the students have asked for the postponement of JEE Main 2023 and removal of the 75 per cent eligibility criteria. The letter was submitted on December 20.

The NTA released the JEE Main application form 2023 on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in on December 17, 2022. The last date to apply for JEE Main 2023 first session is January 12.
