SRMJEEE 2024: The SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has released instructions for SRMJEEE 2024 remote proctored exam. As per the announced date, the SRMJEEE 2024 phase 1 is scheduled to be held on April 20, 21, and 22. Those who have booked the slots and downloaded SRMJEEE admit card can check the important guidelines for the phase 1 remote proctored exam here.
Candidates who have registered for the exam can book the SRMJEEE slot at the official website. The SRMJEEE 2024 slot booking window will remain open till April 17, 11 pm. Once they complete the slot booking process, they can download their SRMJEEE admit card.
SRMJEEE 2024 Remote Proctored Exam
In remote proctored mode, candidates can appear for the exam from any location of choice. All those who have registered must read the instructions provided here. They can take the SRMJEEE exam from their home or any place that offers complete privacy and is free of disturbance.
Requirements for SRMJEEE 2024 Remote Proctored Exam
- Computer/Laptop: Candidates must note that they must have a good and working computer system. They must have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam and microphone.
- Internet Connection: They must have a stable internet connection. Candidates must note once the exam begins, no re-exam will be given if the exam is interrupted due to internet issues.
- The candidate must take the exam in a room without any noise and disturbances. They must clear the desk and remove all the objects, papers, books and any other electronic material like mobile phones, tablets, laptops, etc.
Do’s & Don’ts During SRMJEEE 2024 Remote Proctored Exam
- Candidates should not move from their seats, during the exam. They will not be allowed to take bio breaks during the duration of the exam
- Candidates must sit facing the screen throughout the SRMJEEE 2024 and should not look sideways or down
- Candidates are not allowed to keep mobile phones, digital watches, or any other electronic devices with them during the exam
- Candidates are not permitted to wear sunglasses/headphones
- Candidates have to take the exam, seated in a room where there is sufficient light
- Do not contact/talk to anyone or take assistance from anyone during the exam
- Do not keep any text or paper or any material/notes/rough paper
- Do not access any other site/screen on the laptop/Personal computers during the exam
- Do not try to log in from multiple devices
Other Important Guidelines for SRMJEEE 2024 Remote Proctored Exam
- Candidates have to login to take the exam by using the details on the admit card (Password)
- Candidates must login at least 60 minutes before the exam to take a photograph of themselves and ID proof and to read instructions
- Candidates will not be allowed to end the exam whether they complete the paper or quit for the first 120 minutes from the commencement of the exam
- Only one SRMJEEE question appears on the screen and either they answer it or skip the same if they do not know the answer. Once moved to the next question, they cannot come back to the answered/skipped questions
- ‘I want to submit the exam’ button appears only after 120 minutes is remaining
- The quit password needs to be entered to exit the exam. It will be available in the Instruction Manual for taking the exam
- The exam window also closes automatically once the scheduled exam time of 150 minutes is over
