As per the students, it is important to address matters related to post-result issues faced by students in competitive examinations, such as JEE, NEET, CUET, and others.

An association of students have sent a letter to the Education Minister requesting to implement a time-bound grievance mechanism for post-result issues of students in competitive examinations, particularly exams like JEE, NEET-UG 2023 and CUET. Several students have raised their concerns around NEET-UG results announced last week and JEE Advanced Results announced yesterday.

The All India Students Union (AISU), a division of the Federation of Indian Youth Association have written to Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan a request for the implementation of a time-bound grievance mechanism for post-result issues in competitive examinations.

As per the students, it is important to address matters related to post-result issues faced by students in competitive examinations, such as JEE, NEET-UG 2023, CUET, and others.

“It is imperative to establish an effective grievance mechanism to ensure timely resolution of these concerns. Therefore, we kindly request your immediate intervention in implementing a time-bound grievance mechanism designed specifically for post-result issues in competitive examinations,” reads the letter sent to Dharmendra Pradhan.

The students have stated that the current system presents significant challenges for students when attempting to address their grievances related to examination results. Issues such as discrepancies in result calculation, errors in evaluation, and other concerns directly impact the academic prospects and aspirations of these students.

The union has alleged that the existing system fails to provide an efficient and satisfactory process for students to have their post-result issues addressed, leading to frustration and anxiety.

Suggesting measures to be undertaken, the union has stated that to address this situation, implement a grievance mechanism that allows students to submit their complaints or concerns within a specified period after the release of results. This mechanism should ensure a prompt and fair resolution of grievances.

Dedicated Grievance Cell
Establish a dedicated cell within the examination authority to handle post-result grievances. This cell will be responsible for addressing and resolving student concerns pertaining to result discrepancies and related issues.

Transparency and Communication
The Union has demanded to ensure transparency throughout the grievance redressal process. Provide clear communication channels to students regarding the progress of their grievances.

“We kindly request your urgent attention to this matter. It is essential to provide a robust and student-centric grievance redressal framework to safeguard the interests and well-being of the students. We are confident that with your support, the necessary steps will be taken to address these issues,” it states.
