Tezpur University announces spot admission for M.Tech. courses

Interested candidates can report at the university for spot admission in many courses at 9 am on July 31, 2023.

Tezpur University: A few seats are available in multiple courses. The university has announced a spot round for these courses on July 31, 2023.

These courses include M. Tech. in Information Technology, M. Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering, and M. Tech in Bioelectronics, M. Tech. in Electronics Design and Technology, M. Tech in Energy Technology, M. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, M. Tech. in Food Engineering and Technology, M. Des, MA in Linguistics and Language Technology, M. A. in Cultural Studies, PG Diploma in Translation (Hindi), PG Diploma in Women Studies, BTech (Computer Science and Engineering (Lateral Entry), BTech (Food Engineering and Technology(Lateral Entry), M.A. in Mass Communication and Journalism, and M.A. in Communication for Development.

"Interested candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed below may report for Spot Admission at 9.00 A.M. on 31st July, 2023 in the respective Department/ Center," reads the official notification.

"Candidates will be required to bring the original mark sheets, certificates of all examinations, social category certificate (EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST whichever is applicable) issued by the competent authority and character certificate from the institution last attended. The candidates are also required to bring attested copies of all the documents and requisite amount of fees to be deposited through online mode. Selected candidates will be admitted on the same day and

they will have to attend the classes from 3rd August, 2023. Candidates are asked to send their qualification details etc. to the concerned Head of the Department/Centre through email before 31st July 2023," added the notification. 

Selection criteria:

1. For M. Tech programs, GATE score will be the 1st preference.

2. For other programs, candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria who appeared in TUEE 2023 in relevant subject will be the 1st preference.

3. Non-GATE/Non-TUEE 2023 candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria and appear the prescribed test/PI to be conducted by the department.
