Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar to address 25th Convocation of IIT Guwahati

IIT Guwahati's twenty-fifth convocation is on July 4, 2023. The Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar will address the event.

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati will be celebrating its twenty-fifth convocation on Tuesday, July 4 2023, in the esteemed presence of Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar as the Chief Guest.

Chief Guest will be accompanied by the Guests of Honour, Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Assam, and Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Minister of Assam, along with other dignitaries.

The first convocation of IIT Guwahati was held in 1999 where 63 students were conferred their degrees. In the last 25 years, 20000+ students have graduated from IIT Guwahati. This year the Institute will mark its Convocation Silver Jubilee by advancing Science and Technology through the enhancement of knowledge and performing cutting-edge research where 1990 students will be graduating in the presence of their families, faculty, staff and other dignitaries. 

"Attending the Convocation Rehearsal to be held from 10 AM onwards on 3rd July 2023 (Monday) is MANDATORY for receiving the degrees in person at the Convocation. The degree recipients must report to the Marshals at least one hour before the scheduled rehearsal at the Dr Bhupen Hazarika Auditorium on 3rd July 2023," said IIT Guwahati's official statement.

IIT Guwahati announces results of PhD programmes

The result for admission into a PhD programme in Centre for the Environment 2023 (List 2) and PhD programme in Humanities and Social Sciences and School of Energy Science and Engineering (including JDP mode) has been announced. Selected applicants can check and pay the requisite admission fee by visiting the Application Portal.
