VITEEE 2020 cancelled, admission on class 12 marks basis
With VITEEE 2020 cancelled, the VIT University will conduct the admission on the basis of Class 12 marks and preference will be given to candidates with valid JEE Main score. Read on to know more.
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has cancelled the VITEEE 2020 due to the prevailing COVID-19 conditions in the country. Now, the admission of students to university will be based on Class XII/Pre-University marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology. Students who will have a valid JEE Main scores will be given weightage.
Students who have appeared in the JEE Main 2020 January exam can enter their marks online. The forms for providing the marks and JEE Main Scores are already available on the official website i.e. www.vit.ac.in

The authorities cancelled the exam referring the situation risky and conducting the exam is not safe. VITEEE 2020 was scheduled to be held from July 29 to August 2. Candidates can access the VITEEE application form till July 15.
The exam conducting authority also requested the students to update their VITEEE 2020 applications at the earliest. In case the results of Board Exams are not declared, candidates can update the same as soon as their marks are available.

VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is conducted for admission to various engineering programmes offered by VIT group of Institutions at Vellore, Chennai, Amravati (Andhra Pradesh) and Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh).
There will be a question in candidates' mind that how much marks they must score to get a certain branch. For admission to CSE branch in VIT University, students must have scored around 90% percent marks in class XII board exams.
