VTU to award over 700 PhD degrees at 22nd convocation on Feb 24
The university will confer BE and BTech degrees to 51,905 students, BPlan to nine, BArch to 1,032, MBA to 4,279, MCA to 2,028, MTech to 1,363, MArch to 82 students and one PG diploma degree.
Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) will hold its 22nd annual convocation on February 24, 2023. Governor and Chancellor of the university Thaawarchand Gehlot will preside over the event to be held at the APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium on VTU’s Jnana Sangama campus. The function is scheduled to begin at 11.30 am.
AICTE Chairman to deliver convocation address at VTU
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Chairman TG Sitharam will be the chief guest. Minister for Higher Education CN Ashwath Narayan will also be present on the occasion. The university will confer BE and BTech degrees to 51,905 students, BPlan to nine, BArch to 1,032, MBA to 4,279, MCA to 2,028, MTech to 1,363, MArch to 82 students and one PG diploma degree
. The university will also award more than 700 PhDs and two MSc engineering by research and four integrated dual degrees to research scholars. The university has selected the names of three industrialists for the ‘Doctor of Science’ honorary degrees during the convocation.
Late Vikram Kirlosakar (posthumous), former vice-chairperson of Toyota Kirloskar Motors, M Lakshminarayan, chairman, WABCO India Ltd., and TVS Automobile Solutions Pvt Ltd and Sachin Sabnis, MD, Belgaum Ferrocast India Pvt Ltd.
