FT Rankings 2022: IIM Ahmedabad best among Indian B-schools for executive courses

IIM-Bangalore has also made it to the list of top 50 institutes across the world. The list of top 50 institutes has been compiled by mixing two categories, i.e. custom executive education and open executive education.

FT Rankings 2022: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has topped among Indian institutions by securing the 39^th spot on FT Rankings 2022. Three Indian institutes (all IIMs) made it to the list of top 100 colleges in terms of executive education in the business stream. IIM-Bangalore has also made it to the list of top 50 institutes across the world. The list of top 50 institutes has been compiled by mixing two categories, i.e. custom executive education and open executive education. Among the top 50, there are only two Indian colleges:

Rank 39: IIM Ahmedabad

Rank 45: IIM Bangalore

Whereas there are three Indian B-schools in individual categories of open and custom executive education. IIM-A continued to secure the top spot in executive education:

Rank 47: IIM Ahmedabad

Rank 59: IIM Calcutta

Rank 60: IIM Bangalore

The authorities have compiled the open category list by using data generated from course providers and individuals who completed their nominated management programmes in 2021. The selection of the institutes has been made on the basis of the quality of the participants, teaching and relevance of the skills they gained among other points.

Following are the ranking secured by Indian institutes in executive education custom ranking 2022:

Rank 28: Indian School of Business

Rank 43: IIM Bangalore

Rank 50: IIM Ahmedabad

Globally, FT Rankings 2022 has been topped by HEC Paris followed by Lese Business School and IMD Business School on Rank 2 and 3 respectively.

Talking about the ranks secured by IIM Bangalore, G Shainesh, Professor Marketing and Chairperson of Executive Programs at IIM-B, said, “As we emerge from the pandemic, it is time to take fresh guard and script a new story. FT’s global ranking provides the perfect springboard to take our Exec Ed programs to the next level.”

“Our strength in digital learning helps us reach a large audience in India and abroad. We offer new programs, in blended and hybrid modes,” said Madan Mohan Raj, Chief Programme Officer, Executive Education Programmes, IIMB.
